12: Family Finances (TTATF)

There are approximately 500 verses that deal with prayer, less than that dealing with the subject of faith, and over 2,000 dealing with money and possessions. Nearly half of the parables that Jesus taught dealt with money and possessions. Jesus had more to say about this subject than heaven or hell (148).

Today, we discussed family finances, looking at what the Word has to say about money.

  1. Let me set this up for you...you walk into a little store you see this woman and her children her child is asking for milk and she says mommy don't have enough to get milk too...do you walk to the back of the store when you had the money to buy the milk for them children or do you buy the milk and tell them to say thank you LORD cause it wasn't what I did is was GOD? Just askin'...

  2. For some reason, they cross your path and you overhear them. You are also able to buy something rather than just giving away money. You find a way to give glory to God, even though you are performing the action. Sounds good . . .

Matthew 6.3-4: But when you give to the needy, do not let your left hand know what your right hand is doing, so that your giving may be in secret. Then your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you.

  3. Hey that is scripture...my bible says but when you do a charitable deed, GOD so knows me...I think HE is trying to tell me keep my mouth shout! Luke 6:38 goes here too! GOD can do anything! I pray GOD help me keep my mouth shut!

  4. I think that the fun of posting as "Anonymous" is that you can discuss these things openly, and still keep with the spirit of these secretive commands of Christ. Thank you so much for posting!!!
